XL Afterschool Program

XL Afterschool Program LogoWe are the Santa Cruz County Office of Education’s academic acceleration program for students below grade level in either reading or math. The success of XL AfterSchool lies in its small class sizes, targeted instruction with credentialed teachers, and its use of research-based intervention, curricular material and computer software.

XL Readers Program student

XL in Math Teaches:

Computation Strands-

Understand Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, and equations.

Application Strands-

Understand number concepts, geometry, measurement, word problems, applications, problem-solving, science applications, and probability.

XL Readers Program student

Reinforce math skills by using fun computer software programs.
