Alternative Education Graduations June 2010

The Santa Cruz County Office of Education Alternative Education Program hosted ceremonies for the Class of 2010 graduating Seniors in nine separate ceremonies this June. Students represented 17 programs located in sites that spread from Ben Lomond to Watsonville.

Since much of the success achieved in Alternative Education is due to the special relationship between teacher and student, each was given time to speak. Keeping with an Alternative Education Program tradition, every teacher introduced and acknowledged strengths and accomplishments of each of their students. Every graduate, in turn, thanked friends, staff and loved ones for the support they received in attaining their goals.

Always inspiring, the ceremonies are a fulfilling way for the Alternative Education Program staff to end a year of hard work and dedication to student achievement and success.
